I am trying to archive a restored mail db to a current copy of the mail db to merge the boxes together. But, when I run the archive, I receive the Archive Failed, Special Database Object cannot be found error message. I have searched and can’t find anything on this error, is there anyone out there that has found a solution? Thanks for any help.Tim LaPosa

Do both the db’s need to be in the \mail directory? I have the restored db in a \restored directory. Thanks

Nope, as long as the path in the archive settings is correct the archive db can be anywhere, even on another server.
I had this phenomenon a few times. The archive settings (a profile doc) might be corrupt.
I resolved the issue by deleting the archive profile and reconfiguring the archive settings again.
Send the user a button with the following code for him to delete his archive profile.
Sub Click(Source As Button)
Dim session As New NotesSession
Dim db As NotesDatabase
Set db = session.CurrentDatabase
Set profile=db.GetProfileDocument("Archive Profile")
Call profile.remove(True)
Print "Archive profile removed"
End Sub
Hope this helps

Thanks for the response, but since I am a Notes Admin/caretaker and not a Notes developer, I am not sure how to send a button. But I do appreciate the response.
