I do not know if anyone can help me here - we seem to be getting the archive bit set on all domino databases during the operational day. I have a batch file which executes at 6 in the morning to ensure the archive bit is cleared - this works OK.
By the end of the day when the backups kick off, virtually every file has the archive bit set, hence requiring backup
I am running Backup Exec 9.1, and this is presenting a huge problem, as I am backing up 800 gigs every night across 3 servers on differential which is totally ridiculous.
Has anyone got any idea what task is causing this - I suspected chronos, but it doesn’t report to the logs.
I have manually reset the archive bit, and a couple of minutes later, the archive bit is set again (all with nearly the same time stamp) - this is while no users are accessing the server.
I am sure you can understand that I am tearing my hair out over this and I look forwards to hearing any thoughts that anyone has
