You need to know that the normal doc link and the using/about database link are two totally different things.
For normal doc link, you can get a handle to the document using NotesDocument class and then use NotesRichTextItem class to create a doc link in the rich text field using “AppendDocLink”.
But this is not the case with Help/About as these are design elements.
you can in fact send the help/about this database and help/using this database as a doc link. just open them and right click then choose Copy as document link then paste the link into an e-mail. you can have as many doc links as you’d like.
The About and Using database document design element’s Note ids are “FFFF0002” and “FFFF0100” respectively. So you can use NotesDatabase.GetDocumentByID() method to get handle to those documents.
Dim Session as New NotesSession
Dim thisdb as Notesdatabase
Dim AboutDBdoc As NotesDocument
Dim UsingDBdoc As NotesDocument
Set thisdb = Session.CurrentDatabase
Set AboutDBdoc = thisdb.GetDocumentByID(“FFFF0002”)
Set UsingDBdoc = thisdb.GetDocumentByID(“FFFF0100”)
Now you can use AppendDoclink method of NotesRichtextItem Class to append those doc links to the body of email.
