Appears to be 1000+ dead messages, Mail.box empty

On the Messaging | Mail | Mail Routing Status page, the speedometer-style dials show that I have over 1000 MAIL.dead and about 15 MAIL.waiting. When I look at mail.box it is empty (I have tried the full view refreshes - no change). It is checking an R5.0.11 Server.

Is the meter wrong? If no, how do I purge all those DEAD messages, since they don’t show up in mail.box?

Make sure you have the right level of access in the ACL. Default access is depositor. If you’re using the default access, you won’t see the mail.
