I have Traveler running on a dedicated server for mobile devices. I have another server running IMAP for less than ten Outlook and Apple Mail users who don’t use Notes. The IMAP server hardware is pretty out and out of warranty.
I’d like to consolidate the two and run IMAP on the Traveler server. Is anyone successfully running IMAP on a Traveler server? Has anyone run into problems with this configuration?
Subject: Anyone running Traveler and IMAP on same server? yes
We are currently using 8.0.1.3 Traveler on Win 2003 / Domino 8.0.2 and it’s working fine with IMAP. We have 400 or so IMAP and about 100 Traveler users.
Subject: RE: Anyone running Traveler and IMAP on same server?
There are no known issues with running Lotus Notes Traveler and other Domino services on the same box. The main thing to be concerned with if doing so is performance characteristics of the system, such as CPU utilization, available memory etc.
This Info Center topic has some information related to performance tuning that may be useful.
