Using the search tab, entering a word to search for just returns ALL entries in date order ie no documents relevant to the search. I know the search has worked as it has given lots of useful stuff over the years but this week it has given up.Using IE 6

Search has been acting this way for me all week. I sent a question to the site admin through “contact us”. They replied quickly but said they could not reproduce it.

By the way this is the second time I typed this post. The first time, I clicked “Preview”. After a second, I was returned directly to the “by date / threaded” view - exactly the same a shappens after I try to do a serach. This time I will just click “Post” and see what happens…

If you are having problems, use the browser’s View->Source and take a look at the version, platform and build in the Domino banner, then send the info using the website feedback form. This forum often runs on one or more pre-release versions/platforms in the cluster for testing – and with no feedback, the chances of problems being identified before release are vanishingly small. Of course, if you want problems in your own production environment …

The search word was ‘chinese’. The search button was the top one.My colleague has tried the same and the search works. Theoretically, both PCs have the same image ie windows xp and IE6, however my colleague gets continual javascript errors while using the forum.
I have tried the search word in the search box in the right column under ‘Search this forum’ and this works so I will use this for now.

Hi Ian - sorry, haven’t been able to reproduce this in either Firefox 2 or IE7.
What word are you searching for? Are you selecting any of the other options? Which search button are you pressing - the one near the top or the one at the bottom?
