Anybody know wher eI add keywords for flagged emails?

I have a user that wants to have a copy of any email sent out to have a copy sent to him if it contains a handful of words in it. We have this system in place by a previous administrator, but I am not sure where to go to add more key words.

Subject: Sounds like a server mail rule

This behavior sounds like a server mail rule.

A server mail rule could be used to send a message that meets a particular criteria to a specific database.

Server Mail Rules are located in the Configuration Document.

Configuration Document >> Router/SMTP tab >> Restrictions and Controls tab >> Rules tab

There should be a rule here for which you can add the relevant key words.

If a mail rule is being used you should see a message in the console stating the following:

“Router: Message XXXXXXXX successfully moved to database by filter action”

Also be aware that these messages will not go to the inbox, but will show up in the

all docs view.

Subject: you are correct, but!

I believe you are right, I can see several other rules in there but if I go into edit mode and attempt to create a new rule it lets me configure it but when I exit it says I cannot create because I am not listed in the author list of the document. Any advice?

Subject: sounds like an authors field

From the error message you are seeing it sounds as if the mail rule in question has some type of reader/author field preventing access to the document.

In this case I would expect that you wouldn’t be able to see the document at all.

To double check this you can log into your Admin Client with the server.id and open the rule in question.

Then, perform “document properties” and select the “security tab” (fourth tab with a KEY icon). Here, if the “all readers and above” field is NOT checked then access to the document in question is limited to the names “checked” in this list. Since you are currently logged in with the server.id file (assuming the server in question has access via a group or explicit entry in this list) you should be able to check your name to add you to this list.

This should allow you access to the document.

Also, if this reader/author field is not necessary you can place a “check” in the “All readers and above” option which will allow all users with reader access to see the document in question.

If this doesn’t help you may post back with the exact error message being seen when attempting to create the rule.

Also, what is your access in the ACL of the names.nsf, this will determine if you have access to create docs in the NAB and ultimately in the configuration doc.

The administration tab of the configuration doc can be checked as well. This is another avenue to manage access to the configuration document itself.
