I’m trying to use Smart Upgrade for the first time. I am attempting to upgrade 6.5.1 clients to 8.5.1. Everything is working perfectly except that the mail file template remains at 6.5 after the upgrade. I tried using a desktop policy to force the mail template upgrade, but that never runs. I want to make sure that the user’s mail templates are updated to 8.5 immediately after the smart upgrade. any suggestions?

If there is no way to automatically upgrade the mail template after the client upgrade, I guess I could use the ‘convert’ task multiple times throughout the day in this manner…

I think you have that options in the client upgrade doc, look again.
Maybe you also want to upgrade folder design?

can you elaborate on that please? where is the upgrade doc? how would i modify it? i know how to do customization using the install tuner.

Do you have a screen shot of how you configured it in the Desktop Settings Policy?
You certainly could also use the convert task…

Here is a screenshot of the desktop policy. I verified to ensure that this policy gets downloaded to the user’s client.
