We are migrating from 6.5.4 to 7, (server and clients) and I’m wondering if there are any typical, or not so typical, problems that have come up? Our current applications are only run in Notes Client… No Web… thanks.

I installed 7.0.2 on top of 6.5.x on both my server and clients without problem. The apps all worked with out issue, and the server is running fine.

If you want to spend a couple-o-bucks to make youself feel better, talk to TeamStudio. They have something called ‘migration filters’ that will parse through all of your code looking for gotchas. No gotchas, no problem. The filters also include ‘best practices’ so they’re nice for catching the stuff you never knew you should be doing.
We were incredibly happy with the 4.6 to 6.5 filters duing our migration to 6.5. If you happen to find something not caught by the filters, you can create your own and then find all the places the code snip exists in all of your dbs.
