Any Redbook XBible in the works?

I love xpages and want to marry them and have children, but I/we need a Redbook or third party tome that covers them in some detail with code examples, best practices, and code performance information. What I am having difficulty with, being primarily a Notes Developer, is understanding the Script Editor and all those Javascript/xPage objects listed. Yes, I’ve seen the excellent examples from John Mackey, Elguji, Chris Toohey, and the IBM Wikki and Discussion templates as well as the DDE Wikki movies. Those are all good, but a good solid reference manual is needed to cover it all or xpages could die on the vine for the average developer who is struggling to get up to speed.

Subject: Absolutely necessary!

I totally agree to what you’re saying! So many new possibilities, languages, concepts that us LotusScript developers never dreamt of. It’s so time-consuming to try and find out how everything’s connected, never knowing whether a solution found through numerous trial-and-error loops truly is the best choice for a given situation.

And: please make sure to not forget XPages Themes and their structures, syntax and how they are connected to everything

Subject: me too

I have a new web project. I would love to make this job done on xpages but after trying hard for several days I reached the point where I NEED a reference to get the next steps done. Otherwise the risk gets to high.

Subject: I agree too!

I agree too!

Subject: Infocenter link

The main user guide and reference manual for Xpages is located at the infocenter.

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/index.jsp (look under Designer 8.5 section).

Hope that helps.
