I got guidelines on the 1+3% formula. Can any one shared with me formula for dialogue box as per following scenario? Is it lotus script is the only option, i.e not possible using @Function formula? I am very new in lotus script?
I have 4 fields, Year1, Year2, Year 3, Year 4, after entering values in Year 1, User than just click a button, a dialog box will pop up, asking, what percentage I want to use? (with default value is 3%), user once click okay, another dialogue box will pop up, asking which field should it be affected, user can click all fields, (which will than check all Y2 to Y4 fields) or he can just select any of Y2,Y3,Y4. Than, system will get value from Year 1, times with 1+3%m than input value into Year 2, thank, will get Year 2 values, time with 1 + 3%, etc. I am not an expert in script, was looking at using @function formula, but I think it may be too messy?
You could certainly do it with macro language. If you use @Dialogbox you can even put all your inputs in a single dialog, which is nicer for the users. You would set the dialog to use some fields which not on your form; but your formula could read the values from them after the user presses OK, do the calculations and assign the fields with FIELD statements, then use FIELD tmpfield := @Unavailable to prevent the input fields from the dialog from being saved with the document (which would probably be a waste of space).
it only has simple guidelines to fill in data and than click yes and no. What about checkbox options as per my earlier example, would really appreciates if you can share any similar coding that you may have. tqvm.
do you have any sample of dialog box for check box selection, or radio buttons, etc.? I believe my scenario is quite messy, was thinking if anyone has developed almost similar scenario that I can share, than I just need to modify it. Really appreciates your kind guidance. Cheerio!
