Any compatibility issues with win2003 Ent Srv and Dom 6.0.2?

Hello,

Just like to check if Domino R6.0.2 can run with Win2003 Enterprise server.

Have there been any issues?

Thanks

Domino 6.5 is the first supported version for Windows 2003 servers.

We are currently running a partitioned Domino 6.0.2 CF2 server on Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition without* any problems. However, since 6.5 is the first version to officially support this configuration, and since it is supposed to be released September 30, you may just want to wait until then…

*There is one minor issue that either Domino or the Notes client seems to cause on 2003. When using Add/Remove Windows Components (from the Add/Remove Programs applet), after any changes are made the error message ‘Unable to configure the Cluster Service’ (IIRC) is displayed. This seems to be only a minor annoyance that doesn’t effect anything, as components are still added and removed correctly. Also, the ‘Manage My Server’ program doesn’t work, informing the user that it is not for use on cluster nodes. Again, this seems to just be a minor annoyance, as the program does not offer any unique functionality that is not available elsewhere in the GUI. If you are actually using Windows clustering, however, you should definitely test Domino 6.0.2 on a non-production system first, to make sure that it doesn’t cause any additional problems in that configuration.
