Ok, it seems I spent another sleepless night for nothing…
I wanted to make a tool, which lets developers to automatically replace Java Applet Class/Jar files in the Applet resources. I decided to write it in LotusScript using DXL.
I found a fundamental problem!
Simply:
nc.SeletJavaResource = True
nc = NotesNoteCollection.BuildCollection
DxlExport(nc, stream)
DxlImport(stream, db)
Causes big problems. It renames the Applet resource to (Untitled) and a corrupts the JAR file inside. However, I did nothing with the DXL/XML file! I just exported and imported it… The first problem is cause by the missing $Title field from the Applet resource design element, the second one I don’t know.

Make sure that you parse the outbound DXL and wrap the contents of all sections in CDATA tags otherwise the behavior you describe will happen due to XML delimiters appearing in your java code.

Thanks for your answer! My Java resource contains and embedded JAR file, which is Base64 encoded in the XML so it does not contain <, >, nor & or other special characters. I think this is not the reason.
Anyway, I can give it a try. Can I tell the NotesDXLExporter or NotesDOMParser/NotesSAXParser to add the CDATA sections automatically?
