I use a Domino server 8.5.1 and I develop iNotes application (not using XPages).
My problem is when I open a notes mailbox with my IE8 web browser I only get the ultra lite mode view.
I created a new mailbox with a design inherits from master template StdR85Mail. I didn’t make any changes within this mailbox. Now I tried to open the mailbox in my browser and I expected the known lite oder full mode view.
If I disable the ultra lite mode in the notes.ini my browser shows the form l_LoadingFrame and its text.
I wonder why, it worked until a while and I cannot remember making changes.
I have already reinstalled the Domino server and the IE8.
One possibility would be that the policy only permit ultra-light mode is in effect. Another possibility would be a change made to l_PageUIInternal subform, affecting the formula generating gbPrefersUlite variable. As to making the environment clean again - Replacing iNotes/Forms85.nsf with the one from clean installation, and removing iNotes/Forms85_x.nsf may help (if it’s not done already).
I set up a new Domino server (without deinstalling the current server software), I installed a new IE8 and created a new mailbox inherited from StdR85Mail. Now I open this mailbox with my IE8 browser and always get the ultra lite mode view. Take an older mailbox, it happens the same.
I didn’t create a Forms85_x.nsf and I didn’t make any changes in Forms85.nsf.
