Alternative mail / calendar clients to 8.5

We have a few (big wig) users who’ve had it up to the gills with the endless issues with 8.51 client.

Any suggested alternative clients for them to do mail / calendar through, either Mac or Win, that don’t involve huge infrastructure changes in back end? We’re also considering whistling them and their mailboxes back to 7.0

p.s. we tried them on web client, they don’t wanna do web client.

Subject: Basic instead of Standard

Have you considered putting them on the Basic client as opposed to the Eclipse based Standard client?

Subject: Downgrades

have tried some on basic, yep.

We did our first downgrade install back to Notes 7 today; we’d had enough after months.

Lets face it; the Notes 8.51 client is a dog. It’s gotta be said.
