Allow user to open only about database document

Hi,

I want to lock a database. User should be allowed to see only the “about database document”. User should not be allowed to see any other document (I want to retain the documents in that database)

Did you try the database property to launch the first doclink in about this database?I think this will give what you are looking for

Subject: Use Depositor access in the ACL

Probably the best solution would be to assign that user (or users) depositor access in the ACL. They will be able to see the database structure (i.e. navigation, help about, help using) but will not be able to see any documents in the database.

Give them reader access to the database.& use the final tab of all forms and views, to make sure they are not selected in ‘who can read documents with this form’ or view.
