I have a R5.0.12 SMTP server running to Windows. I want to allow application server to relay to this SMTP server to route out mail to the internet. This is what I did :
Under Configuration Document/Router/SMTP/Restrictions and Controls/SMTP Inbound Controls/
Under Inbound Relay Controls
Allow messages only from the following external internet hosts to be sent to external internet domains : [ip address]
But it did not work.
Next I tried :
Inbound Intended Recipient Controls/Allow messages intended only for the following internet address : [xxx@yahoo.com]
This is disaster.
There isn’t any * in Deny messages from the following internet hosts to be sent to external internet domains:(* means all)
Could it be this ?
There’s a Inbound Connection Control / Allow connection only from the following SMTP internet hostname/IP addresses :
Would appreciate any help. Thanks.
