I have a user who cannot see all of his documents in the ‘All Documents’ view. He can only see docs from '08. If I go to design and view from there, I can see as far back as '04. I checked the ‘View Read and Unread’ button, refreshed the design and did a Shift + Ctrl + F9…no luck. Any ideas?

Do the documents have Readers field in it?Does the user use a local replica of database? Check replication history.

Can the user see old documents in other views?
It could be that one of the filters in mail box is on.
Please check if “Show only unread documents” is not on. (Or did you already check that?)

He can see them from the ‘Mail Threads’ view. That filter is not active, just checked.

try deleting the view index for ($All) view, could be some sort of corruption for the user. delete the index from the domino administrator > files, find the mail file then right click and choose Manage Views, highlight ($All) and click Purge button.
