Alert function doesn't pop up inside lotusscript agent

I got a lotus script agent which try to pop up a message box, it works fine and the box comes out if I simply use lotusscript:Message box “abcde…”

But since I had to run it on browser too, so I had to use Javascript alert function, but the alert never pop up:

Print “”

I change the syntax a bit, but still it doesn’t work:

Print |" |

Any ideas?

Thanks saraf but still not work.

I just wonder what I am missing…

Actually I put these codes inside a script which is called by QuerySave under Notes client or WebQuerySave agent under Web client, I don’t know if there are some concerns but the box could pop up on Notes if I use lotusscript Messagbox.

Strange?

Ok!

1st of all you can not run lotus script directly on web.for this u have to run agent usint @command tools run macro .

you check or debug ur agent whether it is running properly or not.

and Try this i think it will work.

print(“”)

Actually I did not run lotusscript directly on web, I run the LS agent by calling toolsrunmacro on WebquerySave. But for notes client, I just put the codes on QuerySave.

I have tried exactly your codes but some syntax error, I try following but still it doesn’t work.

Print | |

I am sure the codes are passed through but it simply won’t prompt a box on the screen.

Could someone enlighten me?

Remove the agent that is in your WebQuerySave and put it in an action or button in your form. I don’t know what is the difference between calling the agent in the WebQuerySave and the same agent placed in a button but it works (in a button)
