I wonder if anybody can shed any light on something for me…
I recently replaced the hardware on one of my Domino servers, and kept the server identity exactly the same as on the old hardware. Everything went well, apart from when the new server started up all the agents on any databases started to run, and on old documents too. (It was as if the agents had never run in the databases before, even though the server was exactly the same)
Why did this happen? It wasn’t too much of a problem, but I am soon to replace our main database server, so having agents running when they are not meant to, and on old documents could potentially cause an issue. I know I could temporarily disable agent manager, but surely when I restart it the same thing will happen.
