Agents not running - behind schedule - Threshold?

Hi

Agent do not run, they were running until about 3 weeks ago but now have stopped running - any ideas ?

Subject: It looks like there were agents running on the server that took a whole lot of time to run…

So for some reason, when agent A was supposed to run, it couldn’t because all the agent threads on the server were busy doing something else. So it sits in the queue. Then it comes time for agent B to run, but the server’s still busy, so it sits and waits. And this went on for a couple of weeks or more, with no agents getting to run. Then the agent manager got unblocked somehow, and it said, “What’s next? Oh, looks like the agent IssueEventIDs has been waiting to run.”

But some administrator has apparently set something on the server to say, if the server’s too busy to run an agent for 60 minutes past its scheduled time, don’t run it at all.

It’s worth noting that there’s an agent time limit the administrator can also set, so that it’s not possible for one agent to hog the server for weeks at a time.
