Agent triggered to execute when signing database?

Hi,

I usually need to move new agents from one server to another. After moving, I will sign the agents using Domino Administrator. I noticed that some (not all) of my scheduled agents will be triggered to run when I sign the agents in batches although it is not their scheduled time.

Does anyone know why certain scheduled agents will be automatically triggered to run when I perform database signing? How to sign the database without triggering any agents to run automatically?

Please help because I cannot afford to have my scheduled agents run at any time other than the time scheduled - the agents create duplicated documents!!!

Your best bet is to disable the trigger, sign the agents, and then reset the trigger AFTER the time is what supposed to run. I know its a pain, but that is the only way I have been able to deal with the same situation…

However, you might put a flag field on the documents that stop the agent in its tracks if it has already been run and the next schedule increment has not arrived.
