I have an application that sends mails to users. When the mail is sent, if I check the value of the principal field, (under the document properties), has the text the app administrator wrote in the configuration settings, i.e “Document Manager”, but when the mail is received by the recipent, the principal appears “Document_Manager@domain”, where domain is not the corporate domain and it´s not the one configure in the mail-in database document.
Another weird thing is the agent signer is the administrator and the sent by appears the mail-in database address.
Subject: Agent Signer and Principal field-Urgent! It´s driving me crazy
We have a MailScript Script Library you can freely download from our website which can be easily added to any agent. The great thing about the script is you can set the ‘From’ value to anything you like and it will be retained thereby solving the problem of Principal / Agent Signer.
All you need to do is call the script’s initialize events to create a new message, specify the Sender, Recipients, Subject & Body, then call the send method. All mail message formatting & required router fields are handled for you.
Other features of the script library include:
Name & Address Resolution
Individual names or groups can be specified
And more.
You can download it from the following link:
We use it in all our agents that send mail messages.
