We use archiving system with policy doc and archive server. Some of archive DBs are very large (5GB) and I`m truing to split them for tape backup (for example all messages older than 1 year). Does anyone knows any agent or ls for this? Thanx in advance

Why not create a new replica (or copy) and make the replication settings selection formula specify documents with a PostedDate before 12/31/2005.
Once that replica is created, change the replication settings on the current replica to specify documents with a PostedDate after 12/31/2005.
This should give you the “split” database that you wanted.
As always, please be prudent and test before applying in production.

you can create a second level of archiving.Simply create an archive setting for the archive itself, the system will then split it for you.
