Agent not running

I was migrated from a I-Series server to a Windows server recently.On the old server I had the Mark Incoming Mail agent running, but on the new server it fails to react on the trigger “Before new mail arrives”.

Other options, like “After new mail arrived” or running manually or scheduled it works ok.

When looking at the log, it states that the agent never was executed before.

Activating the agent according to the instructions on this website dioes not give an error and also the test screen gives normal output without errors.

Any solutions?

Maybe the administrators forgot to enable an option?

Or is there another way to bypass it.

This is question, or some similar, are asked often. There is a server notes.ini setting plus there are performance considerations - pros/cons to using the router versus the Agent Manager.
