Open the Public Address Book on the server and open the server document for the server. Go to the ‘Ports → Notes Network Ports’ section. Check the value of the ‘Net Address’ field(s) and make sure whatever is specified in there can be successfully pinged from a command prompt.
ping is blocked by firewall, but can telnet into it on all of the open ports like 80, 25… etc. using the DNS name not the IP address.Should i put an IP address in there?
Is the configuration settings for the id used to sign / enable the agent correct? Is there a person document for the user specified in the id file and if so, are the mail / server settings correct?
Thanks Alex, I had found that document and worked through it. The test mail did not send either, so I ruled out my application sendmail. (it sends on different server). The DNS is resolving, all other mail works fine, in / out.
