After upgrading to 6.0.3 I get a warning when opening design elements with designer 6.0.3

Hi all,

we upgraded the linux server to 6.0.3 and I upgraded my client (notes, designer, admin) also to 6.0.3.

But when I open in my designer one of the updated templates on the server and open a design element (to make a few customizations), I get the warning:

This design element has been modified by a later version of Notes. Saving any changes could cause a loss of design information.

I’m a bit confused - which designer do I need to work at 6.0.3 templates?? 6.5??

This message has me confused as well - so any feedback from anyone would be great.

Also if I use 6.5 do I treat that as an increment up from 6.0.3 or as a new release (ie as if it was 5 > 6) - concerned about compatibility of code when these designer messages are coming up.

cheers

hey IRIS - please help us Designers!

Can I ignore that message, or will I destroy the templates!?!?

I checked with IBM support, they said I can ignore this .

Hi uwe jandt,

Did you managed to get upgraded to 6.0.3 from 6.0.2xxx ? I saw some of your postings having problem in migrating to 6.

let me know.

Subject: 6.0.2 → 6.0.3: should I expect problems?

We upgraded at Monday - and until now I haven’t got any error messages… (apart from the designer prompt).

Should I expect some?!

The former migration was an xchange → R6 migration, and most of our problems were odd behavior of the german client, problems with multilang templates and smtp auth with our internet provider.

Of course I had a lot of work to migrate from xchange - the domino standard tool was no great help.

Thanks also for your second answer (from support)
