After New Mail arrives

I have a simple mail agent that is supposed to run after new mail arrives. It does not trigger. I have made sure the agent is signed by the correct ID.

Any thoughts would be great.

Couple of things. Is the “disable background agents” property checked on the database? You mentioned using the correct ID, so I assume that this functionality is allowed by the administrators? The security section of the server document controls who can create and run agents.Issuing a “tell amgr sched” at the domino console will show if your agent is eligible to run.

Did you run ‘agent test’? I will diagnose the most common problems that users have regarding security and scheduling.

If it does, Agent FAQ has tips on how to turn on extra debugging (Troubleshooting agents in R6).

Do not add “On behalf” name to this scenario, it makes things more complicated not less

and also right click on the agent and pick Run and see if you get any errors…
