Hi,

I m planning to open POP3 port on our Lotus server. Please let me know the advantages and disadvantages of opening POP3 on Lotus Notes server.

I’ve been using the Pop3 task for some time for mail access to clients using a variety of non-blackberry PDA’s. Haven’t experienced any issues with it. The most complicated part is helping the client to set up server access, if they haven’t done that before.

Thanks for your response. I have heard the POP3 task crashes intermittently causing frequent Domino restarts.Any risk on security aspects?
