one of the advanced ACL options is to allow these two options
Modify all Readers and Authors fields
Modify all Names fields
i need to use this so that when people are renamed or change certificate their existing (leave, travel, expense claim, whatever) requests are moved to their new name.
the problem is that when i delete a person their names are removed from all fields, which is a major legal nightmare because we have to keep records even though they no longer work for us anymore.
has anyone worked around this? i’d thought of using text fields but then they won’t get renamed, nothing appears to work as i need the rename but don’t want the delete.
if anyone from lotus reads this can you put in an enhancement request for those advanced acl options to add another sub-option for how deletions are processed, ie a simple tick box that says “Remove deleted names”
ps. if this isn’t clear i don’t mean the names in the actual acl itself, i mean the names inside documents, i don’t want those removed, but i do need them to be renamed.
