ADSync - Windows and internet password

Hi!

I try to add existing active directory-persons in a NAB using ADSync. Later these persons should be able to login via there internet passwort into a webpage.

Everything works fine when I create a new person with the flag “use common password” and fill in the password field.

But how to handle the problem if there are already existing persons in the active directory - without giving new notes-passwords (common password) manually?

The red-book and other manuals don’t really help me …

Can the notes mapping fields help?

If you already have people in AD you need to use the Domino Admin client to register the users in Notes.

Select Register new users then click the Migrate User button. Select Active Directory as the source and then you can select the users to create accounts for in Domino.

Be sure to click the options button and deselect the option “Generate Random Passwords”

You forgot to mention that updating the password in AD after this doesn’t work :slight_smile: Unless you’ve now found a solution?
