ADsync "access denied"

Hi…i am running w2k. sp2

Senario…

Domino server 6.0.1 / Client 6.0.1

i have installed the admin pack on this server logged into the domain fine ( i log in as administrator - with FULL accecss)Everything is running on 1 box.

funny thing is, i can see the Domino Sync in the MMC and i can enable/disable aswell, but i cannot register new users in AD and sync it over to Domino??

and i dont get the option of selecting the domino directory when i go a register a new user.

pls help

Subject: ADsync “access denied”

Try running AD sync from w2k workstation. Before this you may need to install admin pack from windows 2000 server cd.Usually its not recommended to run AD sync on main server. Hope this will help.

thanks for you reply Yogi…unfortunately i have tried this option also.

from my latop i aslo installed the admin pack and was able to view my AD, But was not able to sync, same error?

any other ideas?

I would assume that this was because the user ID did not have admini rights on the server? I was having simular troubles and then used the domain administrator’s password and Hey Presto - it worked…

yes, thats right…account didnt have full accesss to the AD
