We are recertifying a domain and for some people Adminp does not initiate the Readers and Authors step. All other steps complete without error.
This is only affecting 5% of users but the step is critical. There is no abvious differences between the successful recerts and these that do not go all the ay.
We’ve tried all the tell commands to no avail.
Any ideas?
Subject: AdminP doesn’t go all the way
The AdminP can get you close but that only counts in Horseshoes and Handgernades. These sort of changes can take a lot of time, and can be extremely tedious because as you well know you have to visit every database to make the changes.
We have developed Workflo!ACL Manager that allows you to batch ACL changes together and have a scheduled agent do all the work in the off hours. All teh changes needed are set and flagged in teh ACL Manager database and then committed.
You can see what the ACL settings of all the databases are (much like the Catalog.nsf) but can make all of the changes without having to open every database. One client paid for the cost of the application on one job to add an Admin group to every mail database. Plus you can select a persons name and find out what their access rights to any database is. There is a lot more but download the demo and try it http://www.wfs.com
