As a Domino administrator, I routinely check the server mail journals, looking for spammers, misuse of the mail system, and other problems. I’ve noticed that since 8.5, I can no longer view an earlier day’s mail journal by doubleclicking on the file name in the admin client. Instead of the file I select, say MJ03242009, it always brings up the first file I’ve looked at, typically the current day’s mailjrn.nsf file. It’s almost like there’s some errant file caching going on, but I’ve yet to find a solution. Ideas, anyone?

I’ve tried it both ways - alongside the standard client and with the administrator client alone. Same results. Regardless of which journal file I doubleclick, it brings up today’s mailjrn.nsf file and not the one from earlier in the week which I selected.
