Admin Process: Error processing Mail Policy

Each day the server gives a failure message for a user who no longer is with the company: Admin Process: Error processing Mail Policy for user: xxxx/xxx’ on mailfile: ‘mail/xxxx’

: File does not exist

I can’t seem to find where the mail policy is since the database is gone?? I’ve searched the Administrative Requests by Name, and can’t find anything there on this policy??

Subject: server policies

In the names.nsf, policies\policies view, do you have one of your explicit policies assigned to specific users/groups? To this user, perhaps? Remove this user’s name from the policy.

Maria,I checked the policy view from the names.nsf, there is nothing there that has this user listed. This person needs to be removed from the names.nsf, hopefully once done, this error will go away?? Thanks for your reply. I would be interested if you have other suggestions.

I didn’t realize from your description that the “person who left the company” still has a person document. Why is it being handled this way? Perhaps I can suggest a different way to handle…

You should check the person document, Administration tab, Policy Managemnet section, Assigned policy. Make that blank. That might do it.

Otherwise, yes, once the person document is removed I would expect the error to go away. Something is looking at this document and trying to get to the mailfile listed there, which apparently was already deleted.
