Example of problem:
John Doe is registered in our NAB. John Doe does not have a mail box and is not supposed to. John Doe works for another company but needs access to one of our databases.
John Doe’s shortname is JDoe. John Doe’s internet address is JDoe@yahoo.com.
When we try to send an email to JDoe@yahoo.com, it appends the domain name and tries to send the email internally.
I was told that we would have to set up JDoe@yahoo.com in the internet address field on John Doe’s person doc.
IS THIS THE ONLY WAY AROUND THIS PROBLEM?
I have about 1500 person docs that would have to be updated with the correct internet address. Plus, I would have to write an agent to continually keep this internet address field updated with current information.
Any help is greatly appreciated here. We currently cannot send mail to people with matching email prefixes/shortnames.
