Admin Client kills dial-up VPN connection

We’ve recently implemented a Cisco VPN client over IPsec. Whenever we use this over dial-up and crank up the Admin client (with Server Monitor running) the multiple Ncollect.exe connections effectively “choke” the IP connection to a point that no network traffic can continue, up to and including ping’s.

If we start the admin client without the server monitor, no problems. Regular client, no problems.

Does anyone know what the nCollect.exe program might be tring to do that is causing this behavior? I’ve tried adjusting MTU’s and every other imaginable setting through the Cisco Client as well as the workstation registry settings for the IP stack. Still same results.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Subject: Admin Client kills dial-up VPN connection

Having the very same issues running R6 admin from a home vpn connnection. Admin 6 client will lock up w/ a network - see administrator error and cause my regular Notes client to freeze. Have to force quit out of R6 admin to revive standard client operation - very weird. Any remedies out there? About to call Lotus.
