If this is a known issue, sorry, I couldn’t find any info on it.
One of our users is having problems sending email to the correct people.
He has a few people in his local address book who are also in the domain directory, only with different email addresses (ie a home contact). As an example, he has someone with the first name Simon Smith in his local address book. THere is also the same Simon Smith in the domain directory.
If he types Simon into the To field of an email and presses return he gets a list of Simons which are in his local address book only.
However, if he presses F9 after typing in Simon, he gets a completely different set of names, which includes the Simon from the directory.
If he types in Smith and presses return, he gets any Smiths from his local address book, but not the directory. If he types Smith then presses return, he gets the list, including the directory Smith.
However, if he only part types Smith, so say he types Smi and presses return, it brings back nothing stating that no name Smi was found.
Is this correct behaviour? His location document is set to exhaustively check all address books, but it doesn’t seem to be doing this correctly.
I am using his names.nsf on a different PC so I know it’s not his install.
