hi!
I just uninstall my notes client dued to some problem. I’ve re-install it into another folder eg. c:\lotus\notes to c:\lotus1\notes.
I noticed that all my address book’s contacts are gone after the re-installation. So how can i point the new installation to the old address book?
Another question is that how can i syn my inotes’s password with my Notes client’s password?
Thks!

The easiest way to get your old address book back is to copy it from the old directory to the new one and choose yes to overwrite it. However, if the original problem was due to the old names.nsf then this isn’t the best idea. If so, you can just open up your old address book by browsing to it in the notes client and then copy and paste the contacts from the old to the new address book.
To sync your passwords, you need to go to File - security - user security and put a tick in the check box that says, “set internet password to match notes password”.

Search for names.nsf on your lotus folder and replace the names.nsf in lotus1 folder with the old one.For the password synchronization, contact your administrator to make the set profile for the same, as it’s depends on rights given to you on your mail file.
