Address book

Hi all,

I have doc. created with @dialogbox and I would like to send to especified person in the address book, but I cannot find the best way. I know that’s very simple question, but I’m a bit puzzle with this.

thanks a lot.

Subject: address book

take a look at @MailSend

yes I know, but I don’t know, if I use the ‘sendto’ field how the user could open a list of names to send it (address book).

the idea is to create the doc, send mail, but first choose the name/s and send the document using @mailsend

create a multi-value Names field on the doc and use address dialog for choices. use that field as your sendTo value.

No, it doesn’t work. The document is already created and after saving it I have a boton to do this action. So the user only has to choice the doc and send it. the sendto value is hide therefore it doesn’t find the sendto field.

please post the code behind your button. @MailSend can “see” hidden fields no problem.

Yes, it works, sorry.But the sendTo field cannot open the add.book list to select a name.

There is a message box when try ‘This name is not in a directory’. the formula is:

@MailSend (sendTo;“”;“”;“Item Request #” + sn;“”;" Item Description1: " + itdaca_new +@Char (13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Item Description2:” + itdbca_new + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + "Item Description3: " + itdcca_new + @Char (13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + "Statistics Code " + s1 + s2 + s3 + s4 + s5 + s6 + s7 + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Basic Code” + @Char(13) + "Size: " + sz + @Char (13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Chain Type” + mtrl + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + "Class " + cl + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Tape” + tp + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Slider A:” + slda + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Finish A:” + slfa + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Special A:” + sp1 + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Special B:” + sp2 + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Special C:” + sp3 + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Slider B:” + sldb + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Finish B:” + slfb + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Special D:” + sp4 + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Special E:” + sp5 + @Char(13) +@Char (13) +@Char (13) + “Special F:” + sp6 + @Char(13)+@Char(13)+@Char(13)+@Char(13)+ “Familiy_Code1:” + fml1ca_new + “Family_Code2:” + fml2ca_new)

The error you’re getting: ‘This name is not in a directory’ sounds like a problem with the formula in the SendTo field. Most likely you have a mistake in the server or filepath to the db you’re looking up to.
