What is the best to make a copy of an users address book (names.nsf) for backup purposes. I have had a couple of my laptop users that have had hard drives go bad and was unable to recover their address book.
Thanks

If they also access mail via iNotes (Domino web access) you may have them synchronise the address book (from Inbox choose Actions → Synchronise Address Book). They have to keep it updated if any changes are made.
Subject: RE: Address Book
We use the ‘Synchronize Address Book’ method. This has the added benefit of having all their contacts available for use in Webmail.
Then when rebuilding their client, the next ‘Synchronize Address Book’ repopulates their (new) address book.

Manual method - replicate their Address Book to the server (someone with appropriate access will need to create the replica)
Auto method - set them up as Roaming and the Address Book replica will be created automatically and deleted automatically (when the user is terminated)
