Under user preferences some users have multiple address books listed under ‘local address books’… one address book is on the server. When they create a new memo the address book on the server is listed.
The problem is that it is only working for some of the users. They will receive a ‘file name must be relative to the data directory’ message… OR, the address book doesn’t show up in the list when creating a new memo.
Example of how it it listed in user preferences:
names.nsf, servername!!nabs\crmnab.nsf
Any ideas why it is not working properly for some users?
Thank you.

Try this configuration instead…
-
In the user preferences set the address book to names.nsf only.
-
In the location document under the ‘Servers’ tab put the servername in the ‘Domino Directory Server’ field. If the servername is the same as the ‘Home/Mail Server’ then there’s no need to change it unless the location document is for working remotely / offline.
-
Make sure Directory Assistance has been setup on the server to include the crmnab.nsf database or the ‘Names=’ parameter in the server’s notes.ini file is set to include all cascaded address books on the server.

Thank you.
That is how it is set up on my client, and it doesn’t work for me either.
Subject: it’s working per yr suggestions.
