Aaahhhh…yes a known issue. It’s to do with the view selection formula which contains: Type = “Person” rather than form. Your records will have been imported but just not visible.
You could open the People view or the hidden $Users view and change the selection formula temporarily to be: Form = “Person” which will make the imported contacts visible and then you can run an agent on those contact documents which has the following formula: FIELD Type:=“Person”. You can then change the view selection formula back.
When you run an import the value of the ‘Form’ field gets set (based on the form you selected when creating the import profile) and the only other fields that get set are those from the import file. Hence the ‘Type’ field does not get set. This is where the ‘Custom Scripts’ come handy - they enable you to add additional fields, perform changes to data in the imported documents and more.
So for your requirement you need to create a custom script which sets the value of the ‘Type’ field. Here’s how to set one up:
Open the Import Utility.
Click the ‘Custom Scripts - By Name’ view option in the left-hand navigator menu of the application.
Click the ‘New Custom Script’ button at the top of the view.
Type in ‘Set Person Type Field’ for the script title.
Type in the following script code:
ImportDoc.Type = "Person"
Call ImportDoc.Save(True, True)
Save & Close the custom script document.
Now select the ‘Import Profiles - By Name’ view option from the left-hand navigator menu.
Locate and open the import profile you are trying to run and put it into Edit mode.
Click the ‘Custom Scripts’ tab then select the ‘During Import’ tab.
Click the drop-down arrow next to the ‘Pre-Defined Custom Scripts’ field and select the custom script you just created.
Click the checkbox in upper right-hand corner of this section to indicate that the selected custom scripts should be run.
When you run your import again and the imported contacts should now appear in the People view.
If you need further assistance please use the ‘Contact Us’ form through our website.
