I am running Lotus Notes 8.5.1 FP2 and I am using the Show Calendar function with a Notes Application Calendar.
This seems to work fine at first, but when I start entering more data into my applications calendar, and viewing it via my mail calendar (Overlay) it no longer displays any of the enteries. If I delete a few of of the enteries (in my application) or switch to the ‘One Day’ or ‘Two Days’ view it works okay, so there is obviously a limit to how much data you can overlay.
I was wondering if anyone knew whether there was actually a limit to how much data you can overlay and if so, where do you set this limit?

Hi Anne
Please see below
which format showed the problem? one week view? one month view?
The Problem is with the One Month, One Week and One Work Week views. One Day and Two Day both seem to Work
was it the calendar view? or the summary view?
For the Calendar view, it seems to try to load the documents but then it just decides to stop. I have tried the summary view and it displays only a few documents, generally Monday and Tuesday, even though there are a large amount of records for each day after.
did you see thef following warning message in either the status, or the log file:
Warning: Total number of documents returned: nnn, applying filtering and returning the first nnn documents
I did not recieving the warning message in my local or server log, or in the status bar
how many events was in the calendar application when the problem occurred?
Well it can vary, for example we did a test on our version of the system and only managed to open around 30 before it stoped working. Whereas on the customers copy, for example in the month of March they had 229 enteries in there and most of them have a reasonable amount of data within them
