Hi to all,We have Notes clients using windows password for identification. When admin reset the password via ad (if the user has lost it, na stupid), notes client asks for the ancient passord. And here’s the problem : how can you give a password if you don’t have it anymore (you stupid). Please Help.

You can either 1. keep a backup copy of the ID and password in a secure place when you first register the user (but you have to remember to update this backup copy if the user is renamed, moved in the hierarchy, or recertified)

OR

  1. implement ID/password recovery on your certifier IDs, which will enable your admins to verbally advise a recovery password to a user who ha forgotten their password.

Yes, it is the same in R8.

The Domino password recovery process would appear to be your best option.
