Activity Log Read default count

I have notice if Admin or the user just open the mail database, In the activity log read counts shows as 3. Is it the default value ?Can it be lesser than that?Can anyone explain please.

Try some different databases, you’ll find that many only report 1 read.

I would suspect that as a mail database is being opened, that 3 reads are being performed on items such as profile documents and the like.

Thanks Mark…But If admin read mails on that database read count will be higher than 1 i suspect.

Yes - if the admin opens another user’s mail file, the count generally is more than 1. I’ve seen 3 to 5 generally. But on other databases, such as log.nsf, the value is 1.
