"Activities has encountered a problem"

every few minutes I get the following error message box.

X ‘Activities’ has encountered a problem.

an internal error occurred during “activities”

                OK    Details

I can’t stop it ! driving me crazier

We need some more info to be able to help. This is not a common error, so something seems wrong.

what Connections version do you have ?

was Activities working before?

did you upgrade your Notes client recently?

do you have TAM or Siteminder in place?

can you add a screenshot of the error message, also logs,
zip the logs under …<notesdata>\workspace\logs

We should be able ot help once we get more info.

Subject: more lack of activities

This error message started when I first updated to 8.5.1 client. I am having serious problems signing on to the client now. see my other post about not responding when first logging in. I was able to fool the notes logon last Friday by using NLNotes and selecting other on the first logon screen then selecting my notes ID file. When I did this the activities error was no longer there. More later today when I find a way to logon to notes again today. It crashes with a security problem on my notes data so I am doing an Acronis restore to my backup file.

I was able to do an Acronis restore of my entire Notes directory ane get Notes back. To sign-on, I had to select my ID file under other to get Notes pointing to the correct user. It appears that the 8.5.1 migration does not properly handle the ID file migration.
