Activate auto inbox refresh

Hi,

How do I acticate the auto inbox refresh and how do I used a Launch pad.

I know what is a quick notes but not launch pad

The auto inbox refresh is in your user preferences.

Subject: Launch Pad

The launch pad is available on framed Welcome Pages. It will not display if you select “Display preview pane”. From it you can launch applications, Notes and Web links and perform everyday tasks (new e-mail, calendare entry, etc). You can add applications by draging them from Desktop to launch pad.
