Action with Sub Action -- Computed Label

Computed labels on an “Action with Sub-Action” button don’t seem to work.

This was an issue already in 6.x and as far as I can see it has not been fixed for v7.0. (see https://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/0/411ab475f8b6b8758525703b002b0310 )

Anybody got more information on this issue and if there is a workaround/fix available? It’s really frustrating and disappointing that such a simple issue could not be resolved :frowning:

cheers,

Bram

The particular SPR I mentioned was confirmed fixed in 7.0. Can you please be a little more specific about what problem you are having? Be especially sure to mention whether there are any shared actions involved.- Andre Guirard

Subject: RE: Action with Sub Action – Computed Label

Hi Andre,

The problem I encountered is specific to Actions with Sub Action on a subform that have a computed label; not using shared actions.

It can be reproduced very simply:

– Create a subform with the following Actions:

→ Action with Sub Action; Name : “A”; Computed Label : “1”

----> Sub Action; Name : “B”; Computed Label : “2”

→ Action without Sub Action; Name “C”; Computed Label: “3”

Create a form, include the subform and preview:

The labels for actions B and C are correctly computed (2, 3), the action that contains subaction B does not contain a computed label.

cheers,

Bram
