i have an action button in a view .i am opening this view on web directly(not embeded) by clicking on button on form, but the action button is not visible. can any one help???

Action Buttons won’t show in browser, if the code behind them is not supported in the browser.
Check your code against the help database, which usually specifies if a formula may be used on web or not.

Another question is How are you displaying the view on the web? Treat View Contents as HTML may have some effect on this. However, it’s more likely that the action falls under a category that isn’t do-able in a browser.

For web access i am not using Treat View Contents as HTML . can you please explain the other part in detail.

What are you doing with your action button? Actually, even if the code is “broken” or not applicable to the browser, the button should still render as an html link in a table if you are letting Domino create the view html for you if the action is created with the formula language. Obviously, if it is LS or a simple action that requires a selection, it will not render on the web. Can you post the code for your action?

Check the hide/when settings for the button. Is it hidden from the web or is there a hide/when formula preventing it displaying?

i forgot to mention that there are no hide / when formulas, and it is not hidden for web browser.

i donot use the action button to get the view.the scene is:
create a view named vwTestView with view selection formula as SELECT (form = “frmTestForm”), create an action button in a view save it and preview it in web browser.
here my problem is, i cannot see the action button, when i preview in web browser. it is visible when i preview it in notes client.

Hope u know that the action button in the view will not be visible in web if it doesnt have any formula or code in it… And take care that some formulas wont work in web…Thats why i asked you about the formula in action button!!
And when you treat view contents as HTML did it work? I don think it has anythin to do with ur problem with action button being not visible…
